On the Okavango Channels and Plains safari you will have the opportunity to see the delta in two very different settings Gomoti in the rich savannah and Xigera in the heart of the flooded Delta. This safari departs from November to April giving you a contrasting experience between the green and dry seasons.

Gomoti Tented camp is situated on the plains of the Santawani Concession and is a fascinating place to explore. The sandy plains have amazing grass growth in the summer months attracting a host of grazers to the area which in turn entices predators such as leopard, lion and wild dog.

Xigera Camp located in the heart of the delta brings a new opportunity for mammal sightings. Here you may have the the chance to see the spotted – necked otter, the water loving red Lechwe, elephants or the elusive Sitatunga.

Predators, like leopard and hyena lurk in these areas looking for their next meal. Displaying beautiful breeding plumage and you may be lucky to see the elusive Pel’s fishing-owl. This time of year is also a chance to see many intra – Africa and palaerctic migratory species.
