Ruaha National Park in Southern Tanzania is one of the most stunning wilderness areas in East Africa. Very few travellers visit this remote national park full of lush vegetation, exceptional wildlife and photography experiences. Elephants are seen winding their way down the sand rivers, the natural wildlife corridors that finally converge with the flowing Ruaha River.
The Ruaha river's edge in dry season is a predators haven, unsuspecting Impala and Grant's gazelles are easy prey. Black backed jackals are often seen close by camouflaged by the golden coloured grass. Hippo pods grunt lazily as they submerge themselves away from the midday heat, while elegant fish eagles sit high above looking down on the action below.

Day 1 : Base Mobile Camp - Lunch and Dinner

Today you will collected from Msembe airstrip around lunchtime depending on your arrival time into Ruaha. Enjoy a long game drive into the wilderness which may take up to three hours depending on the camp’s current location. With a scrumptious bush lunch and refreshments en route we will arrive at the camp late afternoon or early evening, a warm welcome before settling in for the evening.

Day 2 : Base Mobile Camp - Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

This morning you will set of early on foot just after breakfast, approximately 10 km / 5 hr bush walk seeking out the highlights of the particular area we are walking in. Depending on direction and distance we cover during the walk you will either return to camp on foot or be collected by vehicle. On arrival back in camp enjoy a freshly cooked meal that will be waiting for us. Afternoon activities you have a choice, from learning about tracking, short walks into the vast Kopje and inselberg systems (huge rock outcrops), specialist birding, and normal game drives.

Day 3 : Base Camp - Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

An early morning departure on foot after breakfast as you move further into Ruaha’s wilderness. Approximately 10 km / 5 hr the same involved as the day before. You will return to our Base Mobile Camp for hot showers and a leisurely lunch. After lunch there will be a shorter afternoon activities before returning to camp for drinks and dinner.

Day 4 : Fly Camp - Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Out on foot again after an early breakfast this morning, the mission of this mornings walk is to reach tonights Flycamp location. It is a fair distance of 10-15 Km and ensure to finish up for lunch at the fully built flycamp with hot showers waiting. You can then choose to relax in the shade of their tents or opt for an afternoon of selected activities available.

Day 5 : Fly Camp - Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

As you complete the final days walking it will take us to newer areas in the park, after an early morning breakfast you will head out further from the flycamp. Enjoy a full mornings walking and wildlife viewing before being collected by the vehicle to return to flycamp. Just in time for a fabulous lunch and selected afternoon activity choices available.

Day 6 : Departure from camp - Breakfast

This morning a much deserved sleep in greets you, on your last day there is no hurry to make your way to breakfast. Enjoy taking in your camp surrounds for the last time, we will make our farewells to the camp crew and make our way slowly to the Msembe area for your scheduled flight out and onward arrangements.
